Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.
The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
