The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
